Discovery Place Welcomes You Back

Discovery Place Opens all Four Museums Starting in September

We are thrilled to announce that all four Discovery Place Museums will be opening after 6 months of being closed due to COVID-19. While we were closed, our team spent months coming up with a reopening plan to ensure the safety of our guests and staff by following the recommendations of local and state officials as well as CDC guidelines. With these precautions in mind, we have built new policies at each of our Museums. See our policy document here.

Before you visit
Reduced Capacity
In order to maintain proper social distancing, all Museums will open with a reduced capacity.

Advanced Tickets
Due to limited capacity and to minimize contact during the arrival process, tickets must be purchased online in advance of a visit. Tickets can be purchased here.

Timed Entry
Tickets purchased online will be for a specific hour-long arrival window. For example, if your window is 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., you can arrive at any point during that hour-long period. Once you are admitted, you can stay as long as you like. If you leave the Museum there will be no re-entry.

Face Coverings
Visitors age 2 and older are required to wear a face covering that covers your mouth and nose while inside the Museum. No exceptions.

Temperature Checks and Health Screenings
All visitors must consent to a contactless temperature scan and health screen prior to entering the Museum. Anyone exhibiting a fever (temperature of 100.4° or higher) will not be permitted entry. All employees will also undergo pre-entry temperature checks and health screenings.

Stay on the Path
Inside our Museums, directional signage and pathways provide guidance for social distancing and one-way traffic flow. Visitors are asked to follow these guidelines at all times.

Once you are inside the Museum, we ask you to stay on the pre-directed path that we have provided. It’s important to note that not all exhibitions will be open at once due to the difficulty they post for social distancing, and some exhibits will be closed on and off for cleaning. We will be vigorously cleaning our Museums, and we ask our guests to help keep germs away by sanitizing often at our restrooms or the multiple sanitizing stations throughout the Museums.
We can’t wait to see you soon. When you’re ready, we’ll be here.
