Ever wonder what’s cooler than nitrogen?

The coolest thing on the planet

Nitrogen is a colorless gas that is in all living things, including humans! It is also found in the air we breathe and in stars near and far. On the periodic table, Nitrogen is the symbol N and the atomic number 7.

With freezing and pressure, pure nitrogen turns into a liquid – a very cold, or cryogenic, liquid – at -320 degrees Fahrenheit. Liquid Nitrogen (LN2) is used in our Museums during live shows as well as at birthday parties, where it quickly turns milk into delicious ice cream!
