Have you met our newest rainforest resident?

Discovery Place Science

If you’ve spotted a little ball of fluff in the World Alive rainforest, that’s our new baby crested wood partridge!

Our live care specialists don’t interfere with the raising of the chick. We'll let the new parents feed and take care of their young. Because this baby bird is only about a month old, we won’t know the sex of the chick for another month.

You might spot it trying to fly around the rainforest. Baby birds are already capable of flight at this young age!
