  • Is Science on the Rocks going to be the same as before?

    Science on the Rocks is going to be different than in the past. We have reinvented Science on the Rocks to provide a better guest experience. There will be music, a cash bar, live science shows and adult-appropriate experiences in the learning labs.

  • What does my ticket include?

    • The ticket price provides full access to Discovery Place Science in a kids-free environment.
    • The evening also includes music, a cash bar, live science shows and hands-on lab activities.
    • The January 27 event will feature exclusive access to the newest traveling exhibition, Top Secret: License to Spy, before it opens to the public.
  • Can I get a refund for my tickets?

    There are no refunds on tickets.

  • Is there a reduced ticket price for designated drivers?

    At this time, we do not have a designated driver ticket option, but we hope to add one in the future.

  • Do you have to be 21 years old to attend Science on the Rocks?

    Yes, all attendees must be 21 years old and are required to show a photo ID at the door.

  • Will there be movies showing in IMAX during Science on the Rocks?

    Yes, tickets to see Planetarium: Edge of Darkness, plus IMAX documentaries Volcanoes: Fires of Creation and Great Bear Rainforest, are available to add on for $6.

    Additional add-ons, such as special project-based workshops, will be available for future Science on the Rocks events.

  • How often will Science on the Rocks occur?

    Science on the Rocks will be a monthly series. Dates and times may vary.

  • How much is parking?

    Parking is available at the evening rate of $7. It is available in the Discovery Place Parking Deck located at 220 W 6th Street. If the Discovery Place Parking Deck is full when you arrive, you can find parking nearby on 7th and Church St.
