Will I be required to wear a face mask while attending the show?
At this time, masks are not required but strongly encouraged for all Museum visitors.
Where do I park?
The Discovery Place paid parking deck entrance is located at 220 W Sixth St., Charlotte, North Carolina 28202. Get directions using Google Maps.
What entrance do I use?
The entrance to the Accenture IMAX Dome Theatre is located on 6th St. between Tryon St. & Church St.
When can I arrive?
Evening shows: Museum doors open 30 minutes prior to showtime and theatre doors open 20 minutes prior to showtime.
Daytime shows: Theatre doors open 15 minutes prior to showtime. If your showtime is during regular Museum operating hours, your ticket does not include admission into Discovery Place Science. Museum admission tickets can be purchased here.
What if I arrive late?
Theatre doors close 5 minutes after the movie start time. Guests will not be admitted into the theatre after this time for their safety. There is no late entrance and no refunds for missed shows due to late arrival. Thank you for understanding.
Are my seats in the IMAX theatre assigned?
Seating is not assigned.
Will the concessions stand be open? Can I bring my own food or drinks?
Food and drinks are not permitted inside the theatre.
